The armour was plot connected although it seems unimportant now. Once he reaches top of level 7, it takes quite a while until he fulfils the requirement for level 8, but all his enemies are far above him and this is how writer gave him survival and option to fight. At least in novel this armour was pretty much second long term equipment besides sword.

In a way... it is. She and her brothers are forbidden to take anything out of the vault. They are free to enter, but restricted with "you can look, but don't touch". This "let him take anything he wants" is her golden opportunity to finally get something out if he wants to take it, but then gives it to her

Both are devil items, that is the reason for reaction. Although they are not similar in quality. Armour is high ranked mortal item, while sword is transcended item and normally they wouldn't react unless there was a special condition. But, it is probably not good to tell why sword really reacted as this would spill too much beans. I have no problem with doing that, but you have to be warned there will be at least 3-4 major spoilers. (spoilers in question are sword origin, fathers origin, mothers position and one more which is better not mentioned as it already spills the beans)

The symbol is easy. You noticed how they mention ancient war? That was war with ancient foreign clan. 5 kingdom competition is not made by humans... it is a trap made by ancient foreign clan. They left soul remains (those seeds) to seek for perfect talents, so those souls can occupy their bodies at certain time. Same as arrays and skills were different at that competition if you remember, that was because they originate from different plane.

I'm gonna spoil something else, but for the good reason. Funny thing is that ancient foreign clan are not really bad guys at all. More like, they are the ones that really keep the good pace in story for a while because of their interesting characters

Why ancient foreign clan starts the war? And why they were annihilated by ancient civilization when they were not bad guys at all? From where they come from actually? And if they are trying to occupy talented vessels of 5 Kingdom then how they are not bad guys?
Why Ancient Southern Capital is pretending to be the remanent souls of Ancient civilization instead of Ancient Foreign Clan? May be i know the answer like to protect their existence or something. Please answer these questions if there is no huge spoiler.

Some are not big spoiler. But, since you like thinking for yourself I think it is better if I answer with few directional analogies.

But, first one question. Is greed the only reason for invasion? What do you think about absolute despair without any other option? Is conquest always about riches or is it possible to see it as war to save what you care about. If that was normal war, devils would won straight up as their world is rank higher than this continent and as such, maximum level achievable before ascension is higher. So, why would stronger need to resort to schemes and guerrilla warfare.

Yes, there is a big missing clue. What was the real catalyst for war and to not spoil anything I will only tell one fact for good thinking. Ancient war only concludes in this novel at the end of next arc (lower divine realm) which is far from both planes.
